“I am honoured to be one of the recipients of the Hindu Charities for America Scholarship- Spring. Thanks to your generous support, I will be able to purchase my textbooks, supplies, and afford a percentage of my tuition. I am so thankful for your wonderful donation which will help lift the burden of not being able to afford much needed and required Spring semester supplies. It is so rewarding to know that by putting in the work towards my educational goals, I can continue my progression and will obtain my Associate of Applied Science Degree-Computer Information Technology-Computer Programming-Web Programming Specialization in the fall of 2017. This short time of struggle and sacrifice well be well worth it in the end. I have completed almost all my core curriculum courses and have only four semesters left to complete my current degree program. My plans at this stage are to commit and excel in my classes as well as continue to build my computer programming skills so that I can triumph in all four semesters and achieve my desired degree in December 2017. I know that there will be a lot of self-discipline involved but I have already taken the steps to ensure my success in the program and I will continue to adapt/balance out my responsibilities. It is such a triumph in itself to be t his far in my educational journey and I am very motivated to succeed in the program. I was very fortunate to find such a rewarding non-profit establishment in my area that works towards bettering the lives of homeless and abused companion animals. Thundering Paws Animal Sanctuary has been a place where I can always help and feel like I am truly contributing to the well-being of community companion animals in need of that help. Even after obtaining my Associates in Applied Science, I will continue to volunteer at this amazing sanctuary. It is truly an honor to be a part of their team and I feel such joy knowing that I am making a difference in my community.”

“I am writing to thank you for your generous $500 Hindu Charities for America – Spring 2017 Scholarship . I was very happy and appreciative to learn that I was selected as the recipient of your scholarship . I am a Culinary and Pastry Arts major with an emphasis in health and nutrition. I plan to pursue in the culinary arts upon graduating from Austin Community College with my associates degree. I am currently a sophomore carrying 39 credits , and plan to graduate in the Fall of 2017 . After graduation , I will attend and go onto Johnson and Wales University to complete my Bachelors of Science in Hospitality Management and Food Science. Thanks to you , I am one step closer to that goal. By awarding me the Hindu Charities for America Spring 2017 Scholarship, you have lightened my financial burden which allows me to focus more on the most important aspect of school, learning. Your generosity has inspired me to help others and give back to the community. I hope one day I will be able to help students achieve their goals , just as you have helped me.”
